Google is synonymous with searching (Sullivan, 52). It is difficult to dethrone the ultimate search engine. Of course, one might argue that before Googles popularity, there were other solid search
engines, but of course, none were as popular as Google is now. Google continues to have the market share, it is social network friendly, and it will continue to demand
high revenues from advertisers. It is a search engine that cannot fail. Bing may be a search engine that is better than most, but it really will not alter Googles
future plans. In effect, Bings presence does not hurt Google an iota and it does not enter into Googles strategy. It is true that Google is the most popular
search engine in the world, but Microsoft has put a lot of effort into Bing in the hopes that one day it will surpass its rival. Klaassen explains that Interbrand
is the company that came up with the name in the hopes that it too one day will be used as a verb and rather than google something, people will
begin to bing something (44). While most companies would love to do as well as Google, and Microsoft is a significant competitor in any computer related business, it would take
a lot to surpass Google. However, it should be noted that Bing has some things that Google does not. Rather than simply doing navigational searches, Bing focuses on decisions where
results are organized into categories (Klaassen, 44). Klaassen provides an example of just what Bing can do: " ... search for "weather," and Bing will use your IP address to
