Instrument. RMLE Online. Westerville, 34(10), 1(15). The purpose of this study was to
investigate the relationship that exists between a principals perceptions of his or her leadership skills and certain demographic factors. More specifically, the researchers set out to replicate, and thus
confirm and validate, the Developmentally Responsive Middle Level Leadership (DRMLL) model developed by previous researchers and currently utilized in the field. Research methodology of this specific study involved the
administration of the Middle Level Leadership Questionnaire (MLLQ) that corresponds with the model. The MLLQ was administered to middle school principals in Georgia. Initially 393 principals were mailed
the MLLQ. A total of 168 surveys were returned completed but one of those surveys was unusable because it was incomplete. This resulted in a total usable response
rate of 42.5 percent. The specific research questions on the MLLQ examined the school principals perceptions of their leadership behaviors as was reflected by the principals responses to the
many questions on the MLLQ. The study was quantitative in that it assessed the principals opinions in a statistically valid format. These responses were correlated with certain demographic
factors such as age, gender, ethnicity, experience and socioeconomic level to ascertain differences between responders. The researchers were able to conclude that several things about the middle school principals
