become more of an inside couch potato overtime, causing his feline counterpart to wonder why he would choose to sit and watch television when going outside to catch birds is a whole lot more fun. Granted, this feline would surmise, cats are more natural hunters when compared with humans, typically fond of spending great stretches of time outdoors on our own to hone in on our predator traits. If the mood strikes us to be affectionate, we will seek out our humans when it is convenient for us - such as when they are sitting on the couch watching their fifth hour of television for the night; however, this mood strikes only intermittently and for very short periods of time. Clearly, it is completely unreasonable for people to waste their time mesmerized by a picture box when the great outdoors beckons. I, the cat, am completely convinced that people are lazy by nature, a transition that must have taken place about the same time they domesticated the dog. This tremendous error in judgment is what has brought humans to the point of choosing television over outdoor activities like bird hunting, being that canines will gladly jump on the couch and be a potato with them. Dogs crave the attention and approval of their humans, while we cats could truly care less what people think of us, a harsh reality that likely accounts for the reason why they do not mind wasting their time lying on the couch watching the tube with a slobbery, unsophisticated dog. Attempting to understand why people would rather watch television than be outside hunting birds or other moving prey brings me to the conclusion that humans simply have no idea of what is fun. ...
