Bringing to life what could only be envisioned in ones imagination, radio represented much more than the ability to play music; indeed, it was the social cornerstone to entertainment, intrigue and just plain fun. The cast of characters that inhabited the anonymous musical box helped to establish an era when radio was the mainstay for every familys evening get-together; to be sure, there was hardly a person anywhere within the entire country who did not eagerly anticipate the adventures and antics of such a renowned performer as Orson Welles.
