training in business. Modern business and nineteenth-century philosophy would seem on the surface to have little in common, but the increasing complexities of business in the face
of technological advance and globalization provide clear indication that they need to be
considered together and as a whole. Increasing competition in business has resulted in the
situation that there is little margin for error in corporate decision making; decisions at all
levels need to be made quickly and they need to be ethically based. Training those currently
in business by means of ethics seminars is an effective way to introduce the old philosophers
to today's managers. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
