Government spend money for a variety of reasons, but countries where there is the development of the economy is taking pace there may be different pressures present. It is the economic development stage of a country that determines its status as developed or developing. Poor economic performance due to a less developed economy can be seen to impact negatively on much of the population, with an inability to provide a welfare state, poor health and education facilities and, in more server cases an inability to deal with emergencies such as droughts or flooding, leading the death as well as hardship of the countries population. The need is to raise the standard of living, this can only be achieved in the long term if the economy develops so that there is both taxation income as well as wages supplied for the population that will enable the increased provision of a better standard of living. This means that government need to create the environment where this development is encourage, both for internal development and foreign investment. This means a wide range of measures, the correct infrastructure needs to be in place with the requires input, such as the correctly skills or trainable staff, as well as secure and stable political and social environment.
