have suggested that now is the Golden Age of small and midsize business. The statement is rather broad and subject to interpretation. Generally speaking, a golden age means that the
best possible circumstances exist. In this case, it refers to the idea that small and mid-sized businesses will thrive. This concept may be embraced in a myriad of ways. The
climate for small and medium sized businesses is good, so this leaves the door open for new entrepreneurs. Although it does not mean that todays climate is negative for big
business, the implication is certainly there. Other trends should be looked at in respect to the statement. For example, where might globalization fit in? Many think of big business as
