to be problems with the document. Several major provisions of the AD Agreement, are questionable in nature and some say have flaws. In highlighting the flaws of this agreement, and
a seemingly inherent unfairness, much can be gleaned about present trade relations as well as specifics about dumping. The term is easily defined, but its relevance in the economic scheme
of things is not exactly clear. Whether antidumping statutes make it easier for big business, or whether they are really fair in prohibiting what some deem as unfair dumping practices,
remains to be seen. It is only through carefully examining the document itself, and opinions about it, that things may be determined. Although there are two sides to
every story, it is also important to outline the issue at hand as something very important. There have been alarming increases in the number of antidumping cases which have
been pursued by both industrial and developing countries and this has created some concern among lawyers, trade reformers and economistsi . It may signify that indeed, the AD
agreement is not fair or it has not been applied as intended. In any event, one can certainly say that it is controversial, but the real story may lie in
