Terrorism has wielded a formidable presence since mankinds earliest confrontations with one another. Acts of terrorism
can be loosely defined as acts perpetrated against citizens to instill terror, as acts that are committed by non governmental bodies or representatives. This definition, of course, varies significantly
according to the entity providing that definition. Our current world perception of terrorism, of course, is directly affected by the conflict that is currently raging on in Iraq.
That conflict was brought to a head by the September 11, 2001 attack on the U.S., an attack that obliterated the New York World Trade Center and included a simultaneous
attack on the Pentagon itself. The reality few of us comprehend, however, is that terrorism has been a part of our history since the American revolution itself. The
Boston Tea Party, for example, has been described by more than one author as one of the most classical acts of terrorism. When
considering the American Revolution in general and the Boston Tea Party specifically in regard to its use of terrorism it must be remembered that the revolution was not something that
