is a country that experiences a relatively low GDP, yet still maintains a people who
succeed and thrive. Jamaica is a land where the GDP is almost that experienced in Third
World countries. Yet, despite this, the people have a tendency to live longer and more
contentedly than those with equal or similar GDP. This is an indication that the people,
and the country, of Jamaica, resides outside the norm, economically speaking. This is also
proof that economic success does not bring health and happiness. Bibliography lists 4
