Therefor, for this particular occupation, the opportunities are essentially limitless. In the field of administration in the geriatric health field there is often a top administrator as well as the assistant administrators. These individuals set the overall direction of the given organization and also concentrate on areas such as community outreach, planning, marketing, finance, human resources, and compliance with federal regulations. As is evidenced, their knowledge is incredibly broad and they must be able to perform tasks that are commonly associated with the business world, as well as be capable of maintaining adequate health awareness and knowledge. While in the past this is a position that has often been filled by the physician, times are requiring that specialist be employed to conduct such performances (Anonymous Managed Care, 1996).
