As a result, competition in high in health care, and entrepreneurship necessarily has a majorly formative role to play in the shape of the industry as a whole. There are differing opinions as to whether or not the infusion of entrepreneurship into health care helps or hurts the industry, however. This paper will explore theoretical views on the matter, and discuss recent organizational changes at a representative health care business in order to attain an overall view as to the directionality of entrepreneurial health care trends in the United States. This paragraph helps the student explore the formation of entrepreneurial health care in the United States. To begin with, it is necessary to understand the underlying material conditions that drive the entrepreneurial system in the United States, which is so different from that instituted by any other country in the world. The reason for this is that insurance coverage in the United States has always been inextricably tied to labor and industry. The insurance system was first instituted at a predominately corporate level, the work of union activists, and was granted to workers as one of the benefits of their employment. This worked well enough for decades as the majority of jobs were still centered in industry and unions could protect access to health insurance; insurance companies were profit-driven in nature, but it was corporations that were dealing with the costs, rather than workers.
