"White Americans [are] our natural enemies...By treating us so cruel, [we] see them acting more like devils than accountable men...Whites have always been an unjust, jealous, unmerciful, avaricious and bloodthirsty set of beings, always seeking after power and authority" (Walker, 2002). A large part of ethnic populations is about survival -- a state of mental, physical and spiritual survival; by clutching to their dreams and aspirations through the utilization of specific values, Walker believed that blacks are better equipped to withstand the oppression thrust upon them by an unyielding and self-appointed superior white race. Evolution has a significant amount to do with the establishment of this authoritarian perspective, according to Walker, inasmuch as history has long illustrated the effects of the human psychological condition and how man is predisposed to a number of traits inherent to human motivational factors.
