Bluetooth (not to mention the name) is a interesting one and a simple one. Yet for experts in the field, Bluetooth is considered a great (if somewhat quiet) technical advance. The Bluetooth wireless technology is actually short-range radio technology developed by Ericsson, Intel, 3Com, Nokia, Toshiba, and other companies (Tweakers, 2003). This is a cable replacement technology developed to simplify person-to-person and machine-to-machine interaction (Tweakers, 2003). The technology is based on a low-cost and short-range radio link, enabling wireless connection of terminals such as desktops, laptops, printers, PDAs and mobile phones to one another for purposes of exchanging data or voice (Tweakers, 2003). In 1994, Ericsson Mobile Communications developed a product directed toward eliminating cables between mobiles phones and accessories - in other ...
