the chaplain molested her in the evening and the next morning was using those same hand to give her Communion. Like most children who are molested, she thought it was
her fault. Just months after her own experience, she learned that this same priest was abusing other children in that same hospital and that the diocese knew about it. When
she was 47, she told her parish priest in Ireland about it. His response was that it was and historical and too long ago to ruin the priests reputation
at this point in time. He even said it was probably her fault. She tried talking with the Archbishop of Dublin but had no better luck. The priest was
moved from parish to parish with his superiors covering u for his despicable actions. Finally, a lawsuit was brought against him and he was convicted for molesting another girl. It
is common knowledge that the Catholic Church has been covering up these crimes of priests for decades. They simply move them to another place where they are not known and
where they can do more damage. Even when a priest was accused of sexually molesting 200 deaf boys, he was not defrocked. People Benedict XVI refused because it was
more important to protect the reputation of the Church. Bishops around the world have forwarded thousands of accusations the Vatican office called Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith that
investigates these kinds of claims (Goodstein, 2010). Most of Allens (2012) text is quotes and comments from Collins. In other words, Allen is reporting what Collins said. She was
