a in the area of technical communication has long been a dream of mine. Since I began my educational career over a decade ago, I have recognized the wide
variety of educational and career opportunities in the area of graphic design, visual design and the use of technology in print and Ive been intrigued by a number of specialty
areas. In recent years, my exposure to undergraduate journalism, writing and mass communication studies have sparked an interest in the role of technical communication and the potential for my
own career development. The student needs to expand on this segment of the paper with particular details about their own situation.
The following are some examples of how this might be done: After graduating from a 4 year program with a B.A. degree in Mass Communication/Journalism, I worked for a number
of print and visual communication organizations. After working as a reporter for a magazine, I returned to school and took some courses in television production, later participating in both
editing and assisting in the production of television programming. These opportunities gave me exposure to a number of technology-based graphics, editing and communication systems. These experiences helped me
understand the significance of graphic design and technical processing as a part of mass media communications. My goal in applying for participation in the Masters Degree program
