This tells about the biggest political scandal of all time. THE PURPOSE OF THE BOOK This book, All the Presidents Men was written to inform and explain to America just how it was that the Washington Post learned of the events leading up to the scandal that ruined a president. The Washington Post earned a Pulitzer Prize based on the reports that went into this book and a well-deserved one it was. Sometimes the book is a bit hard to follow since it is the story of how the authors actually discovered this information themselves, and how it came to them. It can seem a little disjointed but because one can think back to the past as it happened, it opens the doors for so many things that we have heard about Watergate and the famous trials of President Richard Nixon. This book covers the main subject of Watergate and the major players of that era. This book has a high level of interest for the reader because it continues to shock and dismay that such events could actually take place in the offices of the Nations President, and it would almost seem too fantastic if it werent for the fact that the reader knows it to be true. STRONG POINTS Because the book is written from a reporters point of view it is very well written as far as maintaining the readers interest. This is journalism at its best, and it is able to keep the reader turning the pages to find out how, what when where ...
