The abortion issue has been volatile in America since Roe v Wade, but with the abortion debate, also comes another recent phenomenon. What has only come to pass in recent years is a trend for girls to hide their pregnancies. Many of the fetuses are born and end up dead somehow. Some of the births come as a shock to onlookers, not even having known that a teen was pregnant, which is a result of blatant neglect of the pregnancy with a slew of psychological undertones. While infanticide has always existed, there have been many horrifying stories which have surfaced in recent years. Social concerns often are associated with the Democratic Party. Issues about out of wedlock births, and the inaccessibility of birth control is a concern that is paramount. While Republicans do care about people, they fight for the rights of the unborn. With a belief that the fetus is a human being, with a beating heart, a soul and the right to live, they believe that supporting abortion cheats this baby out of a life to which he or she is entitled. The decision to oppose or support abortion is difficult as each side has a valid argument. Also, it is important to note that along with the abortion issue comes other peripheral issues such as partial birth abortion, birth control and adoption concerns. Generally speaking, when looking at the abortion and birth control issues, there are party politics at work. Traditionally, Democrats have supported what they call abortion rights, or the pro-choice position, but is what Republicans think of as murder .
