Those who deplore globalization lament a loss of cultural identity,  
                                                
                                                    the "McDonaldization" of countries, the growth of terrorism and an interconnected financial system that causes the whole thing to collapse like a house of cards when one country ends up  
                                                
                                                    in a recession.         In truth, as with anything of a geopolitical nature, there is no right or wrong, but there is plenty  
                                                
                                                    of room for discussion, which is what I plan in this paper. Ive been asked to review and analyze three articles pertaining to globalization. All three are vastly different, but  
                                                
                                                    all have the same thesis: Namely that globalization is a force for change (whether that change is good or bad, or felt in a major or minor way).  Analysis  
                                                
                                                    and Authors Points         Beginning with Micklethwait and Woolridge (2001), we see authors who are definitely pro-globalization and who earnestly use their article  
                                                
                                                    to point out the fallacies that those who despise globalization bring to the table. The article is a long treatise about why those who are anti-globalists are flat-out wrong when  
                                                
                                                    it comes to job loss, a loss of cultural identity and the "Disneyfication" of the world. The article, in fact, does its best to dispel seven myths of globalization: 1)  
                                                
                                                    That it benefits larger companies; 2) that its destroying the environment; 3) that it makes geography irrelevant; 4) that it means automatic Americanization; 5) that it means a race to  
                                                
                                                    the bottom when it comes to labor standards; 6) that it concentrates power in undemocratic institutions such as the World Trade Organization and that 7) globalization is irresistible.
