axis will lead to this, as well many natural events, such as volcanoes erupting increasing particles and gases in the air which have the potential to change the climate. However, or and it may be argued that human activities are having a significant impact on climate change. For example, in the 2007 report by the intergovernmental panel on climate change was noted that global temperatures have been increasing steadily over the last century, and that this has been accelerating in more recent times, for example the linear warming trend for the century ending 2005 was 0.74 degrees centigrade, but in the last half century ending 2005 the average decade increase the 0.13 centigrade, twice the centuries average (IPCC, 2007). There are a number of potential sources of human activity that can impact on climate change. However, when looking at climate change global warming is one of effects of climate change, it is not necessary climate change in itself. A major consideration is that of cause-and-effect, looking at the type of human activities which take place, and then examining the way in which they may be impacting on the climate in order to create change. A major influence is being increased waste and pollution as a result of burning fossil fuels, such as coal and oil (GERIO, 1997). This is seen in power stations, cars and other vehicles as well as in aircraft. The impact from all of them are similar, although it may be argued with a craft already in the atmosphere there is a potential for additional impact as result of proximity to the ozone layer. Therefore, it is the output of this consumption process that is having an impact. The emissions made ...
