of others. Research Objective The most common cause of cost overruns is the cost of schedule delays. Clearly, it is more beneficial
for the Kingdom of Bahrain to use its financial resources in the most efficient way possible so that the country gains the greatest benefit from the resources available. The
objective here is to arrive at a plan for avoiding the delays that seem to be inherent in large construction projects. Timely completion
of planned construction projects is important to the Kingdom and to its people for several reasons. First is that budgets are limited, and the people need to gain as
much benefit from available resources as possible. Further, enhanced infrastructure is more attractive to the types of businesses that Bahrain seeks: financial and other non-manufacturing services that can increase
the Kingdoms GDP without adversely affecting its environment or quality of life for its people. Benefits Avoidance of delay brings many benefits, and
it brings them to several beneficiaries. These include the construction industry itself, the parties involved in the process and results of construction projects and Bahrains economy.
