Quinine is actually called aryl aminoalcohol and has a similar chemical structure to chloroquine, quinidine, amodiaquine, halofantrine, mefloquine, piperaquine, tafenoquine, and lumefantrine (Yeka, Achan,  DAlessandro

Today, parenteral quinine and two other medications are the only ones recommended by WHO for treating P falciparum malaria (Yeka, Achan, DAlessandro and Talisuna 448).                                                     has other uses as well. 	Quinine is considered to be a base substance, but it is a rather weak one at that (American Pharmaceutical Association 925).  Quinine itself is
