drive for success. My weaknesses include my shortsightedness, my lack of attention to detail and a desire to finish things quickly. Though these weaknesses sometimes balance out my strengths, I recognize them as weaknesses and have been working on correcting them through greater focus on their impacts. As a result, my past and present educational choices reflect my own ability to address these weaknesses and apply my strengths to a greater degree of educational attainment. My personal values have influenced my current views on education and will also serve as a basis from which future educational choices will be made. My family has also been very goal-oriented and educational development has focused on methods to better apply what is learned for career or professional development. Im am currently pursuing advancement in education out of a desire to succeed and with the goal of professional improvement. My personal and professional goals, then, are linked to my familys view and their desire to support me in continuing educational opportunities for professional development. The student should introduce actual goals regarding their profession or chosen area of education. My personal goals include to apply an ethical standard to both learning and life. Ethical action is also a significant professional objective, one that I believe should be applied regardless of the specifics of the career I chose. I also believe that personal and professional objectives should include personal growth, honesty and methods for continually expanding learning opportunities.
