an individual to be well, it is essential that the individual achieve a state of wellbeing across a number of dimensions, including physical, mental, and social. If any one of
these factors is imbalanced, then one cannot be said to be truly well. For this reason, wellness can be difficult to achieve; success requires an ongoing commitment to changing ones
destructive habits and preparing the body and mind to deal with the rigors and stress of daily life. This paper will chronicle the difficulties I faced during my own struggle
to achieve wellness, working towards a tripartite goal of getting more sleep, eating more vegetables, and to stop using sleep aids. This paragraph helps the student address their struggle to
get more sleep. One of the most significant threats to my health was a lack of sleep. Prior to setting these goals, on a given night, I might only sleep
about three to four hours. As a result, I would always feel tired and run-down the next time, and incapable of working to my full potential. In researching my problem,
I discovered that many people in contemporary American society are sleep-deprived as a result of our fast-paced demanding lifestyle. In fact, having an excess of responsibilities was one reason I
got such little sleep. For instance, one reason I slept so little was that I had to stay up late to complete homework assignments, which I couldnt start until late
because I was busy running errands for other people in my household. I had no choice but to inform those people that I couldnt always help them, and that I
