A 5 page paper discussing MRFs, a group of four transcription
factors active in the differentiation of somatic cells during development. The paper provides an
overview of the suspected function and sequence of appearance of MRFs, and includes several
accounts of current research. There is still likely less known about MRFs than there is left to
