Mutations in cells change the physical properties of organisms; natural selection produces the survival and reproduction of organisms with beneficial adaptations to their environment. According to theistic evolutionism, God creates through the process of evolution (Friedman A45). When one views the actual definitions of both creationism and science, it is apparent that creationism does not meet the criteria of being a science. Science upholds the theory of evolution while creationism infers that plant and animal matter were created out of nothing.
