There is no hidden agenda behind support for citizens rights to possess guns: It is a clear violation of the Second Amendment to legally
mandate any type of refusal. Alternatively, a solution could not be anymore simple than substantial legislative restrictions, which would quickly and easily address the problem of letting guns fall
into the wrong hands. Of course, the proposal of stricter legislation does not mean that all firearms will be kept out of the wrong hands, inasmuch as the bad
element of society will always find a way to acquire firearms even if they have successfully passed all the tougher restrictions. it is a very small price to pay in
order to fortify the level of safety that has so heavily damned the responsible gun-owning public. In an ideal world, firearms would remain
only within the realm of law enforcement officials and responsible individuals who respect the power inherent to gun possession; however, the infiltration of guns into the seedier criminal underworld has
created a situation that police cannot begin to contain. As a direct result, guns are falling into the wrong hands, ultimately being used as power weapons in such crimes
as drive-by shootings, minor altercations and myriad other random acts of violence. With the proposed stronger restrictions, much of the senseless violence would be addressed immediately without there being
any significant infringement upon law-abiding citizens rights. With this in mind, I propose the following as a means by which to reinforce the constitutional position of gun owners:
