parties and get-togethers. The environmental analysis tells us this area can certainly support a dog park, as the nearest similar facilities are in
Atlanta, which is 50 miles away. Though doggie day care centers are in existence, they cost owners, whereas Georgia Dog Ranch would be free. There is not immediate competition to
worry about, and the threat of new entries could be considered low to moderate. The marketing mix focuses mainly on promotion, with word
of mouth being the primary way in which the news about the park can be passed around. Publicity through charity and other events will also be utilized. INTRODUCTION
The Georgia Dog Ranch, located about 50 miles north of Atlanta in Covington, GA, is an all-inclusive dog park located in the nothern part of
the state. Well assume, for purposes of this paper, that the Dog Ranch is being launched through a public-private collaboration with funds raised by donations and the state and county
governments. The purpose of the Georgia Dog Ranch is to provide people with a place to go to exercise their dogs that
is outdoors and safe. Though most people walk their dogs for exercise, the Dog Ranch allows their dogs off leash, where they can socialize and play. The park also provides
