inherent connection between religiosity and juvenile delinquency is more readily accepted due to greater examination, however, they also point out how there has been little research to flesh out the
association between the excessively religious and legal compliance. This study utilized respondent information that looked at fundamentalist affiliations influenced behavior with regard to three primary areas: tax cheating, theft
and littering. The authors also apply the principles of Hirschis Social Control Theory, which contends that while everyone maintains the potential to violate the law but does not do
so out of social fear, others with few social bonds at risk are not concerned with the consequences. The four elements associated with the Social Control Theory include attachment,
