This 31 page paper loos at the problem of global poverty and considers the argument that the best way to reduce poverty in developing countries is to increase the level of globalization and their participation in the international markets. The paper stars by looking at the measures and level of global poverty in developing countries, some of the ways that it is being tackled, such as the Millennium Development Plan and then looks at the impact that globalization has already had to economic development and wages. The last part of the paper uses data from the World Bank to project the potential outcomes if the current patterns of increasing globalization continue at the same rate. the policies that are suggested from internal micro lending to the Millennium Development Goals all may be seen as moving towards increased levels of globalisation. The research also indicates that
developing nation that adopt more globalisation polices will have growth at a higher rate than those who do not, and that this also appears to trickle down into the wages
of workers even n the poorer industry segments, where wages may be seen as comparable to the developed nations in terms of purchasing power and development level equivalency. This is
all evidence that shows globalisation is a way of helping to reduce poverty, the key is in reducing the level of inequality so that greater benefits are transferred to the
