This paper will explain the methods and recommendations that businesses consider expanding internationally in order to increase their business. With the understanding and know-how of conducting business overseas businesses can be successful. METHODS The methods used for gathering the information herein were through Internet research, library use and reading about McDonalds international expansion success. When major corporations make the decision to take their business to the international level, there are many considerations that must be made. Of course the decision to expand globally is one that requires much research and aforethought, but one of the considerations few people seem to initially think of is that of staffing the new business. The recruitment and selection process required in recruiting employees from abroad sometimes is a complicated one. FINDINGS In researching this issue there were many interesting factors that were brought to light in expanding into international areas. Part of this can be attributed to the fact that all outside business ventures are bound by the requirements of each country in which they conduct business, with special emphasis upon environmental and distribution issues. For instance, in Israel because of the kosher preferences of the inhabitants there, they prefer to not mix meat and dairy in the same kitchen; hence, a McDonalds cheeseburger would have no place in the Israeli market. For this reason, there is no desire to see their homeland deteriorate merely because of a flourishing economy, which is the very reason why officials readily implemented the basic guidelines and restrictions of the global marketplace.
