play roles in personality development, the evolutionary significance remains unclear. There
are more than 100,000 human genes, 75 percent of which are monomorphic and unchanging,
and determine what we are. It is the remaining 25 percent that make up who we are.
Continuing work in twin studies reinforces the importance of both nature and nurture, but the
operative links so far remain obscure. Bibliography lists 15 sources.
