has been able to effectively adapt to the demands to the market is Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google. This paper will examine Schmidts managerial style based on analysis of corporate
actions and personal interviews. This paragraph helps the student to give a bit of background information on Schmidt. Nowadays, Schmidt is considered to be one of the "big three" at
Google along with Sergey Brin and Larry Page, but its important to note that he wasnt present for the beginning of the operation; rather, he was brought in as CEO
in 2001, taken from Novell (LaGeese, 2009). Schmidt immediately made a name for himself upon arriving at Google, by embracing the now infamous "70 - 20 - 10" approach to
income distribution, wherein 70% of the companys income is devoted towards the core business of search, 20% of the income is devoted to related projects, with the final 10% being
set aside for pursuing odd ideas and strange off-the-cuff proposals from Googles highly creative team members (LaGeese, 2009). This distribution policy which involves setting money aside for innovation indicates
