was faced with a number of challenges that caused my grade point average to suffer, but that did not detract from my educational experience and the life lessons I learned
while completing my course of studies. I believe that it is valuable to explain some of these circumstances in order to demonstrate my educational commitment in light of my
poor GPA. I enrolled in my undergraduate program without the economic or emotional support of my family. In essence, my family demonstrated little concern about my choices and
did not provide me with any financial support for my education. In fact, my parents have demonstrated little interest throughout my education and professional development, and I was able
to show their unwillingness to support my educational pursuits in order to secure financial aid and loans without their assistance. Throughout my
four years in school, I worked a variety of jobs in addition to financial aid to pay my tuition. During many of my undergraduate semesters, I worked more than
one job and took a full course load, creating considerable demands and making it difficult to fully concentrate on my studies. There were times when there were just not
enough hours in the day to complete all of my assignments and work 6-8 hours; I often found that my financial needs came ahead of my studies. During my
first two years, I grew increasingly frustrated with my lack of focus, even when I had the time to apply to my studies. Early in my junior year, after
an increasingly frustrating Spring semester, the Dean of the College encouraged me to visit a doctor, who subsequently diagnosed me as having Attention Deficit Disorder. During a process that
