looking for a cure to help treat the disease if not prevent it from developing in so many elderly patients. There are symptoms to help doctors and family members diagnose
whether an individual is battling from Alzheimers disease. First and foremost is memory loss, especially when recent or routine information is forgotten. Another symptom is when someone has difficulty solving
simple math or reading problems or has trouble perform routine tasks around the house like cleaning the dishes or putting clothes on properly. Forgetting the day or date are also
symptoms as well as constantly misplacing common household items such as a set of car keys or a pair of glasses. Lastly, another common symptom is a new apathy towards
work or social activities or frequent changes in mood or behavior. Obviously, many of these symptoms can be seen from time to time in many elderly people, but closely monitoring
how frequently some of these behaviors are occurring can help determine whether a patient is in the early stages of Alzheimers disease or not.
