Essay / Research Paper Abstract

A 10 page analysis of the book by Washington Post reporters, Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward. All the President's Men is an intriguing account of the what was undoubtedly the century's finest, and most fascinating, example of investigating reporting. Bernstein and Woodward broke the story of the 1972 break-in of the Democratic Party's National Headquarters, which was located at the prestigious Watergate office complex. The series of newspaper articles that Bernstein and Woodward wrote following the break-in eventually traced this incident all the way back to the White House. The Watergate scandal caused the downfall of the Nixon presidency and the eventual incarceration of many of the key leaders of his administration. No additional sources cited.
