Computer technology is the fasted developing technology on the planet. In just a few decades we have progressed from relatively simplistic computers that were the size of entire rooms,
to desktop computers, to laptops, to handhelds. The latest in the wave of computer developments is wearable computers. While the definitions vary, wearable computers are most typically designed
to be truly hands-free. That is they operate without manual inputs. Wearable computers are, as their name implies, worn on the body. Wearable computers are being welcomed
by a wide user base. Although yet in their preliminary phases, wearable computers are employed in applications as diverse as fashionable clothing and military functions.
One of the more interesting civilian applications of wearable computer technology is being developed at the MIT Media Lab (Reilly, 2004). Dubbed "Memory Glasses", this technology
serves as an interactive reminder system that resides in the eyeglasses of the user (Reilly, 2004). The Memory Glasses are sensitive to various environmental stimuli and, in the presence
of that stimuli, remind the user to complete certain tasks (Reilly, 2004). Reilly (2004, 38) clarifies that there are qualitative differences between this system and:
"passive reminder system (such as a paper organizer) or a context-blind reminder system (a modern PDA), which records and
structures reminder requests but which cannot know the users context" Civilian clothing has even become
