This happiness, however, like everything else in the utopian paradise that is Huxleys world of 632 A.F. (After Ford) is a fabrication, a result of conditioning that has molded the minds of the worlds citizens since before birth (PG). In this brave new society, everybodys happy now because this particular phrase was repeated to each and every member no less than one hundred and fifty times per day for the first twelve years of their existence (PG). Should any individual feel even the slightest deviation of this ecstatic state of mind, a dose of a government endorsed drug known as soma becomes a panacea. With the aid of soma, one is restored to ones proper state of mind as well as to ones proper delegated position in the societal structure of this brave and controlled new world. Happiness is a mass illusion in this new world order, and as is the case with most widespread illusions, it is inevitable that at one point or another certain individuals will fall prey to the sickness of the heart known as disillusion.
