necessary to monitor the sell of that product would not be an easy task. CONCEPT OF SUPPLY CHAINS When conducting a product or service oriented business, there are three parallel
streams of supply chain actions. These three streams are first the one which deals with the flow from raw material to finished product and finally to the consumer.
Then secondly, is the financial flow of receipts and payments, deposits and withdrawals. And finally, there is the flow of data and information that encompasses the entire process which includes
inventory support, product and delivery tracking, billing etc. To be effective and efficient the supply chain management must address a wide array of problems which include tracking the number and
location of suppliers, production facilities, distribution centers, warehouses and customers. In addition, the supply chain management needs to deal with the distribution strategy such as direct shipment, cross docking,
pull or push strategies, and third party logistics. The overall information portion of the business is also a part of the supply chain. This included integrating systems and
