it has benefited some it has angered others. There is presently no more quantity limit for Europe and the textile and clothing industry involving trade. 2005 saw great changes such
as these, and many are arguing new changes are needed to protect Europe. In the end, however, there may be no solution to the various problems until the entire globe
is on an even platform economically speaking. Introduction Trade agreements and trade barriers in Europe are generally part of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and their responsibilities to
various nations involved in trade. In relationship to Europe and the textile and clothing industry it seems that the past decade or so has seen a great deal of change,
change that seems all but impossible to keep up with, as many nations do business with Europe in the industry. The following paper examines the barriers, and conditions, in the
industry of textiles and clothing as it involves Europe. The paper also illustrates present problems concerning China and barriers in this industry. Trade Barriers in Europe in the
Industry of Textile and Clothing Back in 1995 it seemed as though "The trade policies pursued by the EU...show increasing internal policy integration,
a rapidly expanding and increasingly complex network of free-trade area and preferential relations and active participation in multilateral trade liberalization" (WTO, 1995). While such statements seem to indicate that the
barriers held by Europe towards other nations were lessening, or moving in different directions it seems that this was not the case and in the past few years many changes
