In other words, the Nazi party wanted German women to stay home, take care of their families and have as many babies as possible. It is important to understand that there was a great many German women coming from all walks of life, all faiths, all backgrounds and all ideologies. While it would appear that the majority of women in Germany supported Hitlers causes, they were actually given little choice. There was indeed organized female opposition to Hitler but most women were simply too afraid to appear to resist the Nazi agenda. Many of these women had families and young children and they didnt want to risk losing all of that in order to verbally resist the Nazi party. If one did not support the Nazi party entirely, they were considered to be guilty of treason and severe punishments ensued. Therefore, women were encouraged to have many babies, and to take care of their husbands and children. The Nazi party praised women for having many children and offered various means of compensation to those who followed suit. As a result, birth rates in Germany eventually rose and the Nazi party viewed this is a positive light. The family structure certainly changed too with the addition of so many children into German society.
