Prosperity is defined in diverse manners, according to the beliefs and circumstances of the individual. It is possible to be a soul with a body or to be a body with a soul, depending on the importance one places on the two realms of reality. A person who seeks spiritual prosperity will view the world of employment and financial gain differently from someone who is wholly seeking financial prosperity. The dichotomy becomes work, or activities that are a burden to the soul, and play. This 2 page paper argues that there is no intrinsic value in work because the goal of prosperity can be met by finding play that also allows financial remuneration.
