feel that a career in the Coast Guard offers a good balance between home and the military. The following paper examines the Coast Guard as a career choice.
The Coast Guard As is the case with any truly diverse organization there are many different types of jobs that one could have in the Coast Guard when choosing
a career. For example, it appears that if one wants a career in the Coast Guard, and they are not possessed of any skills, such as a physician, they must
go through the ropes in a particular order. "Most boot camp graduates will receive orders to a ship. One thing for sure is that if there is a galley, or
kitchen, at your unit, you will be working as a mess cook for one to two months" (GoCoastGuard). It seems that everyone starts at this point and then can move
up in rank and duties, which also depends on what one wishes to do. One could become a pilot or a technician, for example. You must remember that everyone
in the Coast Guard has started at the bottom and worked Boot camp is the first step and then from there one can obtain education, taking the Guards classes
