of getting silver skates. It is a story that speaks of innocent times and a story that is filled with the simple dreams and joys of childhood. The following paper
presents a tutorial review of this work. Silver Skates by Mary M. Dodge The two children in the story, Hans and his sister Gretel, live in a little
Dutch town long ago. They are excellent skaters and are also very goof friends. The skates they use are hand carved skates, not metal skates that most people think of
today. This makes the story different and enjoyable because the children live with simple joys, simple things like wooden skates, not fancy skates that one buys in the store. They
are poor children and are often made fun of because they are poor. This makes the reader like them and care about them because they are nice kids, in a
nice family. In relationship to the plot of the story the student requesting this paper should read and discover what the children are doing, what they are thinking, and
what they are hoping. In this story the children, as mentioned, use wooden skates and dream of getting silver skates. The primary character is Hans and Hans has, at one
point, found a purse with money. He is faced with choosing what to do about the money. The student should pay close
attention to what Hans wants and what Hans actually does. He seems to want to keep the purse but does he? Does he return it to who it belongs, or
