                                                    They are an intrinsic part of American culture. 	Proper nutrition is important for everyone, whether they are athletes or not. People who are not properly nourished have a great many  
                                                
                                                    problems, everything from mental fuzziness to weakness. For athletes, whose bodies are in a sense the tools they have to use to do their jobs, nutrition is vitally important. Not  
                                                
                                                    only do athletes have to have a great deal of stamina to play nine innings, four quarters, or run a long race, they also have to try and remain uninjured.
