prophet of true religion possessed all the divine attributes, he was still considered "completely human" (Rogers 06D), despite the fact that he was given Gods revelation according to Islam. From the time when he saw the vision in the Cave of Mt. Hira, the prophet continued his duty as Gods messenger for another twenty-three years; all his prolific teachings are found in the Holy Quran. Muhammad was forty years old when he experienced his calling to God. He represented the Arabs as they did not have a prophet to guide them, which made them one of the only nations without such influence. Muhammad was compelled to preach after he had a vision while inside the cave of Mt. Hira. This, he believed, was Gods word that he felt he must obey; only after he began the spreading of Islam did he continue to receive these visions that helped to guide his people. Indeed, most of what Muhammad preached was regarded as "progressive, if not revolutionary" (Lawson 323). Muhammads insights were like nothing the Muslims had experienced before; as a direct result, he became their most revered prophet who ultimately set the example for all to follow. "He tolerated all the difficulties of his life to convey the message of God. We can learn from the example of the prophet. We also must convey the message of Islam. By practicing our faith, that is the best way we can give the example to other people" (Rogers 06D).
