The case of Ted Lea is a complex case as it involves several people, Ted has some medical issues and requires help as a result of chronic arthritis and a mild stroke, and his wife, Queenie has had to move to residential care following a serious stroke. This has meant that Teds three daughters have had to take over caring for their father. More personal issues are present here due to family dynamics, one daughter, Regan, has given up her own home and one of two jobs to move in and care for her father, apparently discouraging the daughter who was happy to help provide care, Cordelia. There are some issues with the abilities of Ted, he has apparently been getting forgetful, and as a result Regan has taken over more control over Teds finances. Ted has a substantial amount in savings; over ?1 million and Regan believes that Cordelia is interfering because she is interested in the money. There are some concerns over the care that Ted is getting. Cordelia has raised some concerns with the GP; Dr Bedlam, and independently from this Dr Bedlam has noticed slight bruising on Teds arms and chest as well as his appearance of being undernourished and being potentially dehydrated. The situation may be exacerbated by Regans own history of being an abuse victims and her reluctance to accept help.
