as has music as a form of human expression. Historically --for Miles-- Miles ? Yes Miles, Miles Davis is maybe the only jazz musician (with Ella), that people call by
his first name (Long ppg). Perhaps because in his music, the listener is the musicians accomplice, and from bebop to rap, Miles has played a music full of
silence, where notes were colorful lines on a black background (minmet.mcgill ). Miles begins professional music in cities - 1944 - In July, Miles sits in with Billy
Eckstines band, which was passing through St. Louis. Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker, his idols, were in that band. In the fall, Miles moves to New York
