Without the vision of Bill Gates, myriad people around the world would not have had the ease with which to apply all the benefits of computer technologys newest implements. Indeed, the global ramifications of committing funds to such an endeavor are well known, inasmuch as Microsofts impact has been felt worldwide. What is not so readily known, however, is the local influence such financial backing will provide for national school districts. When one considers the risk/benefit factor, one might readily argue that there can be no economic venture without some aspect of speculation; however, in this case the benefits more than outweigh any potential gamble. Additionally, the nature of the relationship sought to cultivate with the political party is one that support further organizational commitment the company has made to better promote participation in work site political activities, on-site debates, distribution of candidates information in company newsletters, endorsements and sponsorships. It is believed that committing funds to this endeavor is appropriate for the organization to do at this time, because Microsoft has the ability to prove its strength and prowess in such a manner that means positive end results for all concerned. II. SHAREHOLDERS Since 1945, there have been two monumental discoveries that launched computers into an entirely new realm of acceptance and, thus, the "beginning of the computer revolution" (Hoyle, 1997): the transistor and the microprocessor. The invention of these two implements was instrumental in integrating computers from the fringes of society to its accepted status within the community.
