read, or thought, or did and Luther challenged some of the things they did that he felt they were wrong. He changed Christianity. The following paper examines the life and
work of Martin Luther. Martin Luther "Martin Luther (born as Martin Luder, later he called himself Luther) was born on November
10, 1483 into an extremely tense world...Great changes were waiting around the corner, and Luther, too, would take his part in these changes" (Martin Luthers Childhood and Youth (1483-1501), 2008).
Luthers father was a man who moved the family to Mansfeld, Germany in order to mine for copper and improve the life of his family (Martin Luthers Childhood and Youth
(1483-1501), 2009). It seems that he attended a school, a Latin school, that was very strict, as were most, if not all
schools, of the time (Martin Luthers Childhood and Youth (1483-1501), 2008). When he was 13 he went to the University of Erfurt where he studied law (Christianity Today, 2009). It
was while he was there that he was able to earn a "baccalaureate and masters degrees in the shortest time allowed by university statutes" (Christianity Today, 2009). He was nicknamed
"The Philosopher" because he was so good at talking and debating (Christianity Today, 2009). He was apparently all set to embark on
